Ferrari test major design improvements at Mugella

Ferrali, one of the most talked teams in this season due to their under performing cars have made major changes and tested them at the final day of the Mugella testing before the Spanish Grand Prix. The testing proved worth but they lost time due to Fernando Alonso went of track. This was the day were the midfield teams like Sauber and Lotus proved their competency.

The changes made are expected to have added significant pace to the struggling car but nothing can be confirmed until the Spanish Grand Prix where the team will use the changed design. They are supposed to make some ground at least some ground for the race to be in the front line. They were struggling to even reach Q3 in the past races.

Ferrari agrees that the updates will not put them straight on to the pole but will improve their timings. They expect to continue to improvise on the races post Spanish if they see changes to the time.Double world champion Alonso wants to continue with the testing and updates and he feels its worth doing testing than being in the stimulator.

One of the major changes was that they have changed the position of the conventional pipes. They have changed the part of the design at the back as well. All these changes coupled together with the updates planned will push Ferrari ahead.
