Away from football, formula one teams are preparing for the thrilling and highly competitive season ahead. What makes it interesting. Let us have a look.
This year unlike the last one dominated by Redbull racing, no one has significant advantage. We could see four different race winners for the last four races. As we head to Europe, there is a slight advantage for Redbull in terms of points earned, Mercedes has advantage in qualifying. Thats all about it but Lotus is a surprise pack. Such an unpredictable season.
While the masters of the past Ferrari struggled again to match the pace especially Massa, Lotus surprised everyone with their pace and are picking up points. They were very close to winning the race in Bahrain. Watch out this team. Hamilton was unlucky not to win a race having two pole starts. We will see a fight back from him and his team McLaren.
So far the luckiest are Ferrari for winning a race with pace shy car. Pirelli are holding on to the contract for tyre makers having gained criticism. As the teams are upgrading their cars in time for Spanish Grandprix, we might see further tight competition in the Europe for points.
There is an interesting turn around for Pirelli as drivers seems to start criticising their rubber. More to follow.
